Epigenetic control of hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis Symposium

IGBMC, 21th-22th April 2015

Registration deadline: 22nd March 2015

Organizing committee: Philippe Kastner (Strasbourg), Leonid Bystrykh (Groningen), Antonella Ronchi (Milano)

This meeting is organized within the framework of the Marie-Curie International Training Network (ITN), Hem-Id ("Hematopoietic Identity"). This network comprises 12 research teams and 2 companies, and is focused on the understanding of the transcriptional regulation of hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis. The meeting in Strasbourg will be the closing event of this program.

This meeting will bring together scientists interested in understanding the fundamental aspects of hematopoiesis, with a special focus on the biology of hematopoietic stem cells. A dominant theme of the meeting will be how normal processes of hematopoiesis are regulated at the epigenetic level, and how deregulations of these processes are implicated in leukemia.

The meeting will feature invited prominent scientists in the field, as well as members of the consortium, as speakers. Selected abstracts will also be chosen for oral presentation by the organizing committee. Selected students from the network will give oral presentations.

The meeting will be organized around 3 major topics:

  • Biology of the hematopoietic stem cell
  • Epigenetic and hematopoiesis
  • Epigenetic and leukemia

A poster session will be organized.

Registration fees :

  • Students: 240€
  • Academic non-student: 350€
  • Non Academic: 500€
  • IGBMC and HEM-ID: no fees
